MATERIALDESIGNPOINT by MaterialDesignLab
Project realized within the Research Lab Saperi&Co of Sapienza University of Rome

The MaterialDesignPoint is a material library that collects a reasoned selection made up of materials, largely still experimental; production processes, largely creative; products and projects, the result of collaboration between universities, companies, research centers and designers in general, with the aim of creating innovation and technology transfer starting from the material.

The MaterialDesignPoint - unlike the other existing material libraries that aim to facilitate access to information relating to materials and production processes, so as to create links between researchers, producers and potential users - explores and interprets open and current issues - Connectivity, Eco Responsibility, Empathy - with the goal of promoting knowledge of research products which, if not applied, will remain unknown to the  most.

The MaterialDesignPoint proposes a fluid and non-deterministic cataloging of materials, leaving free space for the processes of inspiration and the creation of hybrid and transdisciplinary interconnections, in the full spirit of Saperi & Co.
